Foundation Story

The Mackenzie Hughes Family Foundation was born from a shared belief: that every child deserves the chance to feel safe, supported, and joyful- no matter their circumstances.

For Mackenzie and Jenna Hughes, giving back has always been part of their journey. As a professional golfer on the PGA TOUR, Mackenzie has seen firsthand how communities can lift one another up. And for Jenna, service has been a lifelong calling- shaped by her experiences working in youth programs, her career in marketing, and her leadership with the PGA TOUR Wives Association.

Together, they’ve been deeply moved by the stories of families facing hardship and inspired by the people and programs working every day to make life better for children. In 2023, they decided to take that passion a step further- launching the Mackenzie Hughes Family Foundation as a way to give back with greater focus and intention.

Whether it’s delivering toys to children in the hospital, providing warm coats during the winter, or helping a beloved recreation program stay open for the summer, the Hughes family finds purpose in small acts of kindness that create a lasting impact.

Today, the foundation supports a range of initiatives across Charlotte, NC and beyond, with a special focus on:

• Meeting essential needs – like coats, toys, and supplies

• Creating joyful, enriching experiences – especially for children

• Empowering community programs – that make a lasting impact
